Massive thanks to all supporters!! xx

Nearly all the money is in - from individuals, fellow runners and people we bumped into in pubs and on the streets!! AND the total looks like being around £6000!!!!

Massive thanks to you all, whether you are friends, family, fellow workers or just random people that we met on the run!! The money has already been put to good use.

We have started a new club at CASPA for youngsters aged from 8 to 11 and have gained £5000 more "matched" funding so we can guarantee to run the new club for at least a year.

Thanks again from all at CASPA and "fourdaysrunning"

We did it, we did it!!

I can't really believe we did it and we arrived at the pier in Brighton hardly out of breath after the fastest 10K of the whole run!!

Thanks to all who supported us. Those who were there at the start in Orpington, or by being with us on the run, or coming to see us at various points, being at the finish in Brighton, buying us drinks, photographing us, massaging us, being there with the snack wagon every few miles and, of course, a big thanks to all who gave money - from the biggest cheque to the handfulls of "shrapnel" from complete strangers!!

Watch out for the grand total that will appear here soon!!

Facebook friends supporting Autism

A big welcome to all of you who are linking up via Facebook - thanks for clicking!! Lots to look at and get involved in on the site. We appreciate anything you say, anything you can give and anyone you can send this blog on to. A "Fiver for Ivor" and send the link to 5 friends? Deal?? Thanks to you all.

Welcome to previous funders of CASPA

This post is a big welcome to all those who helped support CASPA (Children on the Autistic Spectrum Parents Association) two years ago when we ran 50K over a weekend. We raised £8500 together and it made a massive difference to the young people at CASPA.

This year we are going for an even more ridiculous target - London to Brighton in four days!! This will be about 55 miles and will cover more than a half marathon each day!!

Please support in any way you can - ideas on the right. Pass this blog to anyone who you think would support us as we run. Keep in touch through comments, texts, facebook, twitter or even email!!

The District Line 20K

Saturday saw a team of seven of us running the 20K between Upminster Bridge station and West Ham station on the District Line. This is an interesting route with fields and parks giving way to streets and finally the Greenway on top of the main sewer out of East London.

We needed the run. For some it was a psychological barrier, for others a test of fitness with 8 weeks to go until the event. But on the day we had a beautiful run. Cold but sunny, a cafe at the end with all we could eat and the camaraderie of runners pushing themselves for nearly two and a half hours.
